The Stanford LGBT Executive Leadership Program, created by GSB Lecturer Thomas Wurster and Professor Sarah Soule, came to fruition after Thomas and Soule wanted to see the GSB help LGBT professionals advance in their careers. “Companies are moving quickly to build out diversity in their leadership teams, but we’ve seen relatively few senior executives who are LGBT and out,” Wurster commented to the Wall Street Journal. The program will take place over the course of a week in July, at a cost of around $12K, and will involve approximately 50 participantsâ€"who would ideally, according to the program directors, have approximately a decade of professional experience and five years of managerial experience.
